When is the first tuition payment due?

Students submit a $150 registration fee upon acceptance of the school’s offer for admission. That fee is applied to and deducted from the first semester’s tuition amount. The balance of the full semester’s tuition amount is due by the end of the first week of classes.

Can I pay the tuition in installments?

No, tuition fees are paid each semester and must be paid in full by the end of the first week of each semester’s classes.

Study Schedules

Will I be required to do anything at a specific time each week or can I work at my own pace?

Students may log in and complete coursework at any time. However, each course will have one live lecture per week (on a set schedule that will be established by the instructor and posted on the syllabus). Students are strongly encouraged to watch and participate in these lectures at the live scheduled time, but they will also be recorded and available for later viewing at any time.

Are any class activities scheduled or is everything completed independently per my own schedule?

Aside from weekly live lectures presented by each teacher at the same time each week, assignments are typically not scheduled to be completed at any specific time and students may work according to their own schedules. However, all assignments will have firm due dates to which students will need to adhere.

My work schedule is unpredictable, varies a lot from week to week. Will that be a problem?

How you organize your personal study schedule is completely up to you. Some students prefer to have a set weekly study routine, and others take each week one at a time and organize themselves day by day. One thing that will be constant are the due dates on your assignments, which you will see at the beginning of each semester. Therefore, if you foresee a situation in which you are going to be unable to meet a deadline due to an external conflict (work or other), you should consult with your instructor as soon as possible to consider alternate arrangements.

I work various shifts and may occasionally miss a live lecture. How do I handle that?

Your instructors present live lectures each week, and you are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in them at the scheduled times. However, it is understood that not everybody will be able to attend every lecture while it occurs live every week. Thus, all lecture sessions are recorded for later (on-demand) viewing during the semester.

With my work schedule and family responsibilities, I would prefer to take only three courses per semester. Could I do that?

ABS is organized for students to enroll and participate in five courses each semester for the duration of the program. This allows for cohesion within the academic program as well as timely degree completion. Students with special enrollment circumstances should contact the admission office for specific consultation: admissions@atlanticbusinessschool.com.

Instruction & Learning

How do I take exams at this school?

Each instructor will set the syllabus, agenda, and evaluation schedule for each course. Therefore, the exam schedule and type will vary from course to course. Some instructors may opt to assign papers or project-based activities, while others may administer more traditional exams. In any case, all exams and materials are submitted through the online Learning Management System, and students do not need to report to any specific location to take exams.

Will I be able to get extra help if I have difficulties with my coursework?

Atlantic Business School instructors not only deliver lectures and grade assignments, but they also closely monitor each student’s academic progress. If they detect that a student is struggling, it is likely that they will reach out and contact the student to see if there are any problems. Students should also be proactive in their learning, and contact professors in advance of any failures to ask for help or additional assistance. One benefit of an online school is that instructor support is just an email away! You can contact your teachers at any time and will likely receive very individualized and focused attention.

Where are my instructors located?

ABS employs instructors from all over the globe! Most are also currently teaching at other universities, and therefore are located in many different locations. Thus, students are exposed to many different cultures and will gain different perspectives on issues and topics presented in class.
