MBA Ambassador Scholarship Fact Sheet
Scholarship Description
Atlantic Business School (ABS) is offering a one-time, high-value introductory scholarship program, called the Ambassador Scholarship, for selected, qualifying MBA students, beginning in the fall of 2018. In exchange for a heavily discounted tuition rate (total tuition fees will be $4000 for the entire program, or $1000 per semester), awarded accepted MBA students will have the opportunity to earn their degrees while serving as an ambassador for their local country (by representing their culture within a global learning community) and as an ambassador also for the Atlantic Business School (as they participate in ongoing events and efforts that help promote and develop the school during their enrollment).
As such, ABS seeks academically qualified and committed individuals that are willing and able to serve as an ambassador to ABS and help promote the school’s growth by: participating in various marketing and promotional efforts (such as blogging, video blogging and posting into e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat), piloting and testing new programs/courses/processes and/or technologies, and also providing general feedback to the administration on various issues, upon request as needed.
Application Process
Prospective students who wish to be considered for the MBA Ambassador Scholarship should complete the school’s online application. This application includes a section entitled “Motivation” that describes the details of the scholarship and prompts prospective students to complete an essay outlining why they believe they would be a good recipient of for this scholarship. Completion of this essay component indicates a student’s interest in and application for the scholarship.
The admission office will review complete submitted applications and scholarship essays. Students who 1) meet the criteria for admission into the school’s MBA program and 2) qualify for the scholarship will be notified via email.
Students accepted into the school and approved for the scholarship will follow the school’s typical enrollment procedures, which include the acknowledgment and signature of an Enrollment Agreement and an additional Scholarship Agreement Addendum. At this time the accepted student will indicate formal acceptance of the scholarship.
Scholarship Qualifications
To be considered and approved for an Ambassador Scholarship, applicants must: 1) qualify academically for admittance into the school and the MBA program (refer to the school’s website and application process for specific admission criteria), and 2) demonstrate a sincere willingness and interest in helping the school grow and in promoting its programs (via the Scholarship Motivation Essay section of the application).
ABS is a new school, and the Fall 2018 semester will be the first instance of a full and active enrollment. Therefore, the MBA Ambassador students will have a unique perspective on the benefits and routines of attending ABS. It is the school’s desire and intent to capture these experiences and use them to help define the ABS student experience for future applicants. Therefore, students who demonstrate a sincere willingness to represent ABS and participate in efforts to help promote the school will be considered. As such, interested students should convey a desire, willingness, and aptitude to participate in marketing activities such as:

Sharing academic experiences via blogs, videos, and photos

Use of various social media platforms to represent/boost the school (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)

Sharing tips for a successful learning experience (effective home workspaces, tips for staying organized, strategies for maximizing learning an online environment, etc.)

Submitting testimonials about the learning experience and working with ABS instructors

Utilizing personal profile and back-story (“Why I chose to attend ABS,” etc.)

Representing the school via online information sessions, school fairs, and information sessions

Participating in planning and brainstorming sessions with school officials, as requested
ABS Ambassador students should also demonstrate a willingness and interest in participating in various projects and activities intended to help the school grow and improve its programs, such as the launch of new processes or technologies. ABS Scholarship students may be asked to:

Test new processes (i.e., run through a sample application or enrollment process, course selection process, assignment submission process, grading process, etc.)

Pilot/test new products or technology installations (adaptations to the learning management system, new virtual learning tools, new platforms for better communication, etc.)

Provide feedback and offer suggestions for improvement to the administration

Attend discussions and virtual feedback sessions with ABS staff, as requested
Students should carefully read the scholarship requirements and submit a thoughtful and compelling Motivation Essay (via the application process) indicating his or her sincerity and willingness to help participate in such events.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the Ambassador scholarship is July 1, 2018.
Number of Scholarships to be Awarded
ABS is only awarding a limited number of Ambassador Scholarships. Students should apply as early as possible for prompt consideration.
Duration of the Scholarship
The stipulations, requirements, and tuition discounts pertaining to this scholarship apply only to enrolled and accepted Ambassador Scholarship MBA students for the following consecutive semesters: Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020.
Scholarship Program Terms

The Ambassador Scholarship applies to the MBA program only.

Students may only receive one scholarship from ABS at a time. Concurrent ABS scholarships will not be awarded.

Ambassador Scholarship students will be offered a tuition rate of $1,000 per semester for four consecutive semesters (Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020). Students must be enrolled in all 5 assigned courses per semester. No extensions will be honored.

Ambassador Scholarship students must remain in good academic standing in order to receive the scholarship. As such, awarded students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined in the school catalog.

Ambassador Scholarship students are expected to stay current with course demands, regularly attend classes per instructor requests, and demonstrate active and participation in course activities.

Ambassador Scholarship students must follow terms and policies of school catalog.

All Ambassador Scholarship student-submitted materials become the property of ABS.
Scholarship Termination

If it is determined that an Ambassador Scholarship student is not participating per the terms of the Scholarship Agreement, ABS may terminate the scholarship at any time.

Ambassador Scholarship Students may elect to withdraw from participation in the scholarship and enroll at a full-price tuition rate at any time.

Licensed institutions have met minimal operational standards set forth by the state, but licensure does not constitute accreditation, guarantee the transferability of credit, nor signify that programs are certifiable by any professional agency or organization.
